‘We are pleased to exhibit Steven Outram's work at the Fairfax Gallery and to build on his longstanding reputation in Kent where he once lived and trained. Whilst Steven is now based in Gloucestershire, this has not affected his following in Kent, with his paintings becoming ever more considered and refined.
Steven's work bears close scrutiny. His mastery of the medium
enables visual paradoxes -
subtlety of mist and fine detail of the landscape it envelops.
The landscapes evoke memories both real and dreamed, and
make a powerful connection with the viewer’.
