‘Steven Outram first started exhibiting with the Linda Blackstone gallery back in 1987, and his work has been admired and appreciated by our many clients through the years.
In 1997 Steven accompanied me and ten other painters to Israel where over two weeks I was able to watch him absorb his surroundings. Unlike other painters on the trip, he took no photographs and made few sketches; his time was spent acutely studying the subjects that
interested him. Notes and colour notes were made in a small book; he
stored his memories within him.
Returning to his studio he produced stunning landscapes that still
remain in one’s memory even today. He is a true master of observation,
and of creating the atmosphere of dawn and dusk and layers of light.
I am delighted to have been exhibiting his workfor the past
twenty two years’
